About us

Hanseatic Energy Hub is a future-flexible terminal for liquefied gases at the industrial site of Stade. The independent hub secures and diversifies Germany's import demand for affordable energy. In a first expansion stage, an emission-free LNG terminal is to be put into operation from 2029, the infrastructure of which is also approved for bio-LNG and synthetic natural gas (SNG). With the ramp-up of new climate-neutral energy sources, the hub will then also be available for the import of hydrogen-based energy sources.

Area of responsibility

  • Establishment and further development of the finance structures for the emerging LNG terminal
  • Design and optimization of the interface between accounting and controlling
  • Definition of clear processes for the transfer of financial data between accounting and controlling
  • Development of a reliable reporting and KPI structure for terminal control
  • Management and further development of the finance organization, including future team and process architecture
  • Collaborate with management and operations to make financial assessments of terminal consumption, key performance indicators and operating costs
  • Support in matters of liquidity planning and terminal financing
  • Technical and disciplinary management of a small controlling team and its successive expansion during the growth phase
  • Ensuring correct, audit-proof accounting (HGB; IFRS is beneficial)
  • Creation and review of terminal-related booking logics, consumption and billing processes
  • Implementation of regular coordination between accounting and controlling
  • Responsible preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
  • Active coordination of budget planning, forecasting and cost control
  • Close cooperation with operational terminal areas (e.g. operations, engineering) on consumption data and its financial mapping.
